The remains

Attel Malagate: Never found. The location of Lugo Teehalt's planet was never disclosed.

Kokor Hekkus: The remains of his body were brought to the Sea Provence University on Alphanor for autopsy and research. A substantial paper was written on the findings.

Viole Falushe: Falushe's body - although heavily damaged - was restored to a presentable state and preserved. It's now on show in the remains of the Palace grounds. Persistent rumors go that essential parts of the body (pieces of the brain, the spinal cord and certain glands) have been removed by an unknown party.

Lens Larque: His body was transferred to Dar Sai. Nobody knows where it is, although it was probably destroyed.

Howard Alan Treesong: The Cleadhoe's have always refused to give up the remains of the last Demon Prince. The lifeless eyes of Howard Alan Treesong still look upon the marmelized body of Nymphotis.

IPCC shares

It was disclosed today that Howard Alan Treesong had acquired a significant share in IPCC. IPCC officials were reluctant to name the exact percentage acquired by Treesong but considered it "worrying and food for serious thought"...

Independent financial experts commented that the free exchange of IPCC shares as it exists today is a scenario for most unwanted and highly dangerous situations. The chairman of the IPCC board did not issue an official statement however did say in a short interview that "the matter was under close investigation and an official IPCC standpoint will be made public shortly".

Legacy

"Only now is becoming clear the enormous wealth the deceased Demon Princes amassed." according to a spokesman of IPCC, one of the organizations responsible for dismantling the empires of the former master criminals.

Just a superficial glance at each individuals wealth:

Attel Malagate: real estate, hotels, casino's, holiday resorts, various industrial plants manufacturing equipment for holiday resorts, bank accounts, transportation vehicles, total assets estimated over 12 billion SWE.

Kokor Hekkus: real estate, including several celestial bodies like planets and moons, interstellar transportation equipment like space ships and shuttles, several numbered accounts at prestigious banks, total assets estimated over 15 billion SWE and counting.

Viole Falushe: real estate, bio-techno plants, bank accounts, large collection of fine art, jewelry, an amazing quantity of gold, several celestial bodies including the one hosting the Palace of Love, total assets estimated over 13 billion SWE.

Lens Larque: factories, haulage equipment, industrial equipment, bank accounts, amazing collection of space ships, real estate, total assets estimated over 8 billion SWE and counting.

Howard Alan Treesong: Being the last of the Princes to die, activities are still underway to collect all facts and numbers. So far it appears that Treesong had a liking for plain cash and stocks and bonds. As of today an amount of 4 billion SWE has been tracked back to his name.

As of yet it remains unclear what will happen next. Sources close to Earth and Rigel governments speak of the forming of creating a special Trust an appointing a dedicated Committee to support charitable initiatives using the combined assets. One thing is clear though: it will take a considerable amount of time and effort to get "the books" in order.

Phoenix?

With the five Demon Prices presumed dead has Oikumene, and Beyond for that matter as well, become a safer place? A just question....

For some time now we've witnessed a power vacuum, which is now - slowly - being replaced by a power struggle as new brigands crawl to the surface of our civilization.

One of the recurring names is Woodrow Ink III who, as rumor goes, started out as insignificant freelance henchman, occasionally doing legwork for Howard Allan Treesong. It now appears that Mr. Ink created a vast network of very illegal operations: piracy, slavery, kidnapping, contraband... anything goes and in well planned and structured operations, we might say.

Official sources from IPCC reluctantly confirmed that Ink's operations caused "some harm and damage". "He has appeared on our radar and we're quite vigilant..." an IPCC spokesman said today. Obviously IPCC vigilance is not enough as a long range star boat was attacked and plundered last week. The boat was towed to an unknown location, all 750 passengers were taken hostage; crew members were killed on spot. Their bodies floating in space as a sad epitaph of the attack. It was later confirmed that the operation was directed by Woodrow Ink himself.
